Three Football Players Ranked Nationally

FROSTBURG, Md. -Three Frostburg State players are ranked in this week’s Division III national football statistics released Monday by the NCAA.

For the fourth straight week, senior defensive end Kevin Culbert (Purcellville, Va./Loudoun Valley) leads the country in both tackles for loss (3.9 per game) and sacks (2.2 per game). He is also 41st with 6.1 solo stops per contest.

Freshman punt returner Brandon Tann (Accokeek, Md./Gwynn Park) jumped to fifth in the nation with an 18.3-yard punt return average after setting a school record with 131 yards this past Saturday in a 45-9 win over Seton Hill.

Freshman placekicker Mark Sedlock (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) is tied for 21st in the country with 1.0 field goals made per game.

The Bobcats (4-2, 1-3 ACFC) return to action this Saturday when they travel to Westminster at 1:00 pm.
