Men's Basketball Comes Up Short Against La Roche

PITTSBURGH - Junior Ryan Grabill (Boonsboro, Md./Williamsport) scored a game-high 20 points, but it wasn't enough as Frostburg State dropped an 80-71 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference contest to La Roche Wednesday night.

The Redhawks improved to 7-10 overall and 3-3 in the AMCC, while the Bobcats fell to 6-10 and 2-4.

FSU sophomore Chris Vaughn (Manchester, Md./North Carroll) scored 11 points, while senior Pierre Bowery (Kensington, Md./Einstein) was held to 10 points, well below his 19.3 average.

Freshman Dom Joseph led La Roche with 16 points, while sophomore Demetris Pringle and freshman Mark Demonaco added 15 and 13, respectively.

Frostburg State will host Lake Erie in another AMCC game Saturday at 4:00 pm.
