The Department of Instructional Design and Technology offers numerous services, support options, and resources for faculty, staff, and students. Click on the links below to learn more.

These pages provide information for students and instructors about our Learning Management System, Canvas, and the web-conferencing tool, BigBlueButton. Included are FAQs, minimum system requirements, and other resources.

Course Review  is a course review process designed for online/blended courses using the Quality Matters Rubric to promote quality assurance in course design.

Teaching Online Certification  Instructors participate in an online course that provides basic Canvas skills with best instructional practices for teaching in the online environment. This certification is a professional development requirement to teach online at FSU. 

Best Practices  are researched and reliable experiences that have lead to desired results. Using Best Practices is a commitment to using knowledge and technology to ensure success.

Training Workshops are training sessions to provide hands-on experience with the features and tools that are used by instructors, staff, and students.

Loan Equipment University faculty, staff, and students may borrow a variety of equipment from the IT Help Desk in Gira Center Room 123 on a short-term basis including laptops, iPads, Adaptors, projectors, and much more.

Multimedia We offer a variety of Multi-media services to FSU faculty and staff from the planning stage to the finished product. Services include audio & video production, media conversion, image design, and more.
