What is Office 365? It is a hosted suite of online collaborative services in the Cloud that can be installed on up to 5 computers/devices.

Included Services: E-mail, Calendaring, OneDrive, Skype Messaging & Video, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access, Publisher, and InfoPath.

How to Access Cloud Services:

E-mail and Calendars



Never be out of touch. You can access your email, shared calendars, and contacts from anywhere, across devices.

E-mail through a rich and familiar Outlook experience you can access from your desktop or from a web browser using Outlook Web App. Get a 50 GB mailbox per user and send attachments up to 25 MB. Use your own domain name.

Web Conferencing & Instant Messaging



Office 365 makes it easy for people to meet and connect online, from wherever they are, on multiple devices.

Host online meetings with audio and video using one-click screen sharing, HD video conferencing, and virtual whiteboard.

Connect with others via instant message and let people know your availability with your online status. You must install Skype to use these features.

OneDrive for Business gives users 1 TB of personal storage that syncs with their PC for offline access. Easily share documents with others through Office or SharePoint.

How many machines/devices can I install Office 365 on?

The Office in the Cloud software can be installed on a maximum of 5 computers/devices.

Am I eligible for a free desktop version of Microsoft Office?

FSU's agreement with Microsoft does not include the desktop version of Office; only the cloud version. If can purchase the desktop version of Office through our discount software page.

What happens when I'm no longer a student or graduate from FSU?

Once you are no longer a student at Frostburg State University, you will need to purchase a license or subscription directly from Microsoft to continue to use the programs on your devices, or you can uninstall them at that time. Your documents that you created are still accessible and can be opened in other programs capable of opening those files types.
